To be clear this is a studio apartment with the bedroom the same as the living room. Also, the stairs up to the apartment are unfinished wood. The refrigerator didn’t work while we were there so they provided a small hotel type fridge. However the location is great because it is close to both ocean and bay and walkable to lots of restaurants.

We noticed exposed wiring and holes in parts of the garage, as well as unfinished stairs leading upstairs that were only blocked by a baby gate, which raised safety concerns. There was also rust and mold in the bathroom that affected the overall cleanliness. Many of the appliances and furnishings were quite dated, and there were house rules stickers posted throughout the home, which felt excessive. Another challenge was the bright exterior security lights that shined through the windows at night. Making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. While we appreciated the location and the host’s responsiveness, the property’s condition did not meet our expectations. I’d encourage future guests to ask questions about the home’s condition before booking. Personally, I would choose to stay elsewhere on a future visit.

came to SD for a concert and some beach time with a few girlfriends and it could not have been more perfect. from the fast and easy communication with the hosts during check in to the closeness to the beach this trip was absolute perfection. the car garage is also such a plus in san diego. will absolutely be returning to stay here next time i’m in SD!!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location was awesome! Perfect fit for our family of 6 (2 adults, 4 children). It had everything we needed and we loved that it included chairs, sand toys, towels, and body boards for the beach. The reason for the one-star review on cleanliness was due to the airbnb not being cleaned between the last guests and our stay. When we arrived, we called the number given to us with the check-in instructions, and the hosts team promptly responded and took care of the mistake. We understand things like this sometimes happen. It was disappointing at first, but we were pleased with the host and how they handled the situation. Although it changed our plans for our initial night, we were able to check in a few hours later and the rest of the stay was great! Would recommend to others.

Decent place for the price, great location just be prepared for unrealistic expectations from the host. Part of the instruction were to avoid getting sand in the house, we're on the beach! The bathroom sink was leaking and it didn't get fixed the whole time we were there, garage door kept opening on its own, ants kept popping up around the house and the rules are very aggressive with fines of $1000 mentioned repeatedly. I did not feel comfortable nor relaxed the whole time we were there.

Great location, beach on one side and bay on the other - everything we needed was within walking distance.

I liked this stay! It was a good location and area and walkable restaurants and bars. The only downside I experienced was that there was no working fan. There was a fan in the closet but it did not work and was covered in dust. It was fine at night but in the day it was hot! I did let the host know and I got an automated response with no actual solution. It still overall was a good stay and id come back but just be aware of the afternoon heat.

Great location near both the ocean and bay. It was exactly as advertised and exactly what we wanted.
